T I M E
By Julie Anne Hood
Time is passing ever quickly,
Swiftly day turns into night,
Minutes slipping, seconds ticking,
Always hurried into flight.

Clocks keep beating, always ticking,
Never can we hear the “tock”,
Always running, faster, faster,
No, never any time to walk.

Run here, run there, run everywhere.
Chores to do, things must get done.
Rushing one place, then another
All important, every one.

Time is fleeting, ever seeping,
Never time for rest or play.
Keep on pushing even harder,
Always racing every day.

Running, racing, never ending,
Always playing “Beat the Clock”.
Can’t slow down, no time for caring,
Nor for hearing, nor to talk.

No time to smile, nor to help,
Cannot give a word of cheer.
And when time is finally over,
What did we accomplish here?

              Luke 12:20
“But God said unto him, ‘Thou fool, this night thy soul
shall be required of thee:  then whose shall those things
be, which thou hast provided?”

SO HOW ARE YOU SPENDING YOUR TIME?
