2 Samuel 6:14
David was so close to the Lord that He wanted to please God in all ways.
When David removed all the clothing that signified royalty and danced for the Lord, He was in essence saying

“Lord, I am nothing without you.
Take me as I am, Your humble servant”.
He did not care what others thought.

His wife, Michal, the daughter of Saul, saw David unclothed.
She saw him leap and heard him shout to the Lord.
She was angry that the King, would make a fool of himself before everyone.

Because of peer pressure, or shyness, or downright embarrassment are we afraid
to worship the Lord, to sing praises of thanksgiving, to shout out with gladness?
Can we tell others of Jesus, and the precious gift He has given us?
Are we unwilling to put down our earthly crowns?
Or do we think, “I can’t do that, someone might see or hear.
After all, I am a teacher, (or a doctor, or a federal employee, etc.)
It is not politically correct, and I am afraid I will get into trouble.”
Or are we too cool to be seen doing such things
as raising  our hands in praise, or even bowing our heads in prayer.

Many things Jesus said and did were not politically correct either.
The bible states that if we are not ashamed to speak of Jesus,
He would not be ashamed to speak on our behalf before His father in heaven.
We are so blessed that this country was founded on religious freedom.

Do not let Satan make us afraid to exercise this freedom.
I will teach my children and grandchildren of the Lord Jesus,
the Christ who died to give us life.

We are Christians.
It is time to take a stand.  We now have to make a choice.

Who we will serve?
We have no guarantees of our time on this earth.
All we have is this moment.
I have made up my mind.  I have taken my stand.  Do not wait.
For your sake, and for the sake of your family.

“As for me and my house, We will serve the Lord.”
