Sometimes God will move the mountain
But other times He leaves it there,
For us to go around it
So that we think life is not fair.
Sometimes God parts the rivers
And we walk over on dry ground
But other times He leaves them
And we take the long way around.
We cry for a miracle
But God knows what we really need
And lets us do without it
Teaching that lesson we most need.
God leads us in every path
Not giving more than we can bear,
He knows what is best for us,
That is how He answers our prayer.
God is not unkind to us
But loves us more than we can know,
Helping us win life’s battles,
Watching to make sure that we grow.
God is making us like Himself
So we can stand firm until the end
And when this life is all over
He will say, “Well done, My faithful friend!”.
